A&W Root Beer Float
An All-American institution, A&W served more than 12 million Root Beer Floats last year.
Serves: 1
Ingredients:
Frosty mug
12 oz. of chilled, freshly made Root Beer from your local A&W (use canned or bottled A&W as an alternative)
1 scoop of vanilla ice cream
Directions:
Remove chilled mug from the freezer
Fill mug ¾ full with cold A&W Root Beer
Top with vanilla ice cream and enjoy
Hot Fudge Root Beer Float
A warm variation of a cold favorite.
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
4 frosty mugs
1 cup of hot fudge sauce
8 scoops of vanilla ice cream
48 oz. of chilled, freshly made Root Beer from your local A&W (use canned or bottled A&W as an alternative)
Directions:
Heat hot fudge in microwave so it is warm but not hot
Drizzle some hot fudge along the inside of the mugs
Place 2 scoops of ice cream in each mug
Place some hot fudge on top
Slowly fill each mug with A&W Root Beer and enjoy
Root Beer Float Pops
The perfectly sweet summer treat.
Serves: 1-6
Ingredients:
Freezer molds for pops
Vanilla ice cream, softened
Chilled, freshly made Root Beer from your local A&W (use bottled or canned A&W as an alternative)
Directions:
Allow ice cream to soften on a countertop for approximately 30 minutes
Fill bottom third of freezer pop molds with vanilla ice cream, making sure to avoid air space
Slowly add A&W Root Beer to the mold, allowing time for bubbles to stop
Top off each freezer pop mold with A&W Root Beer
Insert pop sticks and freeze overnight
Buffalo Trace Bourbon Cream Root Beer Float
An adult twist on a classic favorite, this beverage is reserved for Float lovers 21 and up.
Serves: 1
Ingredients:
6 oz. of A&W Root Beer
1 oz. of Buffalo Trace Bourbon Cream
2 scoops of vanilla ice cream
Directions:
Combine A&W Root Beer and Buffalo Trace Bourbon Cream into a frosty mug
Top with vanilla ice cream and enjoy
